Carlton Staples started Amherst Electrical Service after he retired from a management position with the Home Builders Institute in 1995. He decided to trade in his frequent flyer miles for a tool belt and a ladder. Customers' loyalty and appreciation was the best reward for Carlton. With over 40 years of electrical experience, great people skills, and kindness in his heart, Carlton was delivering excellent service to South Charlotte residents and business owners. Today Carlton's tradition to give the most to the customers makes Amherst Electrical different. As a family-owned business, Carlton's son, James Staples became a part of Amherst Electrical in 2005.
